The famous “Mountain of Rome”, the second highest peak in Lazio standing at 2217 meters high, witness to natural and human stories, from its striking shapes, typcal of glacial erosion cirque, to the tough lifestyle of the transhumance, from the “dolce vita” of 20th century high society to the ski slopes of the 70s, from the challenges of the first brave mountaineers from yesteryear to the superb trekking suitable for all today. Terminillo and its surrounding peaks, most of them highter than 2000 meters, are a breath-taking experience that seizes that powerful feelling of being in the wild, ideal for hiking, trekking, running and climbing and also for great food and hospitality in the typical historical lodges such as Rifugio Rinaldi, built in 1900 and awarded a gold medal at the World Expo in Paris as an advanced solution for a high mountain resort, and Rifugio Sebastiani that can sleep up to 24.
